The American Legion James J. "Spanky" Harrelson Post 143 is dedicated to upholding the principles of God and the Constitution of the United States of America; To providing support to veterans that have defended and served our country; To preserving the memory of those who made the ultimate sacrifice for freedom; To be a local entity initiating and supporting programs that benefit the community and its youth.

Constitution and Bylaws Amended
Constitution and Bylaws Amended
The Post under much discussion has agreed to relieve the Adjutant of financial duties tied to the post. In response, a Financial Officer position has been created. Nancy Geroux, the current Adjutant has agreed to continue performing the duties until the Post elections in May occur.
Dues Increase
Dues Increase
The National Department will be instituting a $5 raise in the dues beginning July 1, 2024. In response to this, the post has voted to increase the dues to accommodate the increase imposed by National.
